Last weekend's JAL by @loveandlightpower was a nice little blast. Featuring @ingrained_instincts and a many more artists performing @gearyavenuewarehouseproject . We set up the 8k laser projector and dropped psychedelic visuals all night.Thanks to VJ Visual Drip for crushing the 2nd half of the night and VJ Guy kicking off the 1st. Big shout out to the DJs, the deco crew @mjpsikedelic_art for putting up the screens and UV art and thanks to @djroch_rolling and co for bringing #livevideoart to the party 🥳💫🤘❤️

It has been great to work with our friends in Port

It has been great to work with our friends in Port Hope @criticalmassart helping them bring a series of projection mapping and media art events to their community in 2022. After illuminating buildings like the library and little station around town with various artist contributions we wrapped illuminights with an outdoor NYE party feat animations by local youth and our custom 3d mapping countdown on the historic train bridge. See more from this creative community group and all the artists involved @criticalmassart .

Touring the virtual production studio at MELS film

Touring the virtual production studio at MELS film studios in Montreal. The presentation and discussion panel about virtual production and metaverse concepts was a highlight of the HUB Montreal for me. We'll aim to the join conference next year possibly with our own exhibit and continue the connection with a great community of digital creators. As far as the mettaverse goes I think it's more of a concept than any specific virtual app from XYZ company Its a universe of systems and places all different virtual Worlds by various creators but connected and converging with real world data gadgets and displays or points of sale.
It's the cross platform compatibility and tools as well as file standards like USD for Content creation that can really connect a user generated world of content that will all fit together into a range of experiences and millions of assets will be the pieces of the metaverse we interact with across multiple Technologies. Notably epic games was also in attendance and I think that it's a good point to mention game engine technology and marketplaces sharing user created content and code is at the center of our current and Future metaverse.

@sat_montreal under the 360 immersive dome theater we enjoyed this premiere performance Entangled Structudes by @mnclr . The immersive show was captivating specially thanks to the artists live spacial audio mix in surround sound. The SAT building is full of creative technological possibilities as well as a delicious tapas bar to grab a bite.
Definitely worth a visit when in Montreal.

Another really fun public installation in the Mont

Another really fun public installation in the Montreal creative downtown area. This one brought people together in a spontaneous shared experience between strangers and is making everyone laugh and dance around to the music.
It required people to stand at different stations singing into a microphone to create enough noise to trigger the dancing balloon character party. So this forced participants to crack out of their shell and use their voices loudly with expectations for a fun result. I found myself encouraging others walking by to step up and try so we can get the complete dance party activated. The small sense of achievement in doing so was another added bonus to this experience. Kudos to @gentilhomme_studio for this and other inspiring work we saw at @hubmontreal .
